Unlike the other vaguely tank-like build on page four, this vehicle is deceptively complex. The heart of the build, both literally and figuratively, is a sliding mechanism that allows the whole bubble cockpit assembly to collapse and meet up with the detail across the channel. Obviously, this opens the cockpit, and in so doing changes the look of the model. Considering how ultimately banal the difference is, I suppose this was an example of over-engineering, but it was a constraint that made the build more interesting. Also, the detail, particularly in the back, is quite significant, and I find the fact that the cockpit perfectly aligns with the sloping shape of the model highly satisfying. The actual controls are detailed as well, and there is an indistinct Star Wars alien at the helm, albeit with a monochrome space suit to match his Snuggles's Army comrades.
